I am a dedicated junior researcher passionate about advancing quantum technologies through the synthesis and characterization of novel diamond-based materials. Currently working as a Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS), Mumbai (affiliated with the Department of Atomic Energy and the University of Mumbai), I specialize in the development of NV-centered diamonds for quantum emission, sensing, and computing applications.
My expertise includes synthesizing homoepitaxial and heteroepitaxial diamond films using Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (MPCVD), along with doping single-crystal diamonds with nitrogen, boron, and phosphorus. I have hands-on experience with a broad range of characterization techniques such as XRD, Raman spectroscopy, SEM, confocal optical microscopy, AFM, and UV-Visible spectroscopy to analyze morphology, optical properties, and stress states of diamond films.
In addition to material synthesis, my work involves laser ablation (nanosecond and femtosecond) for nanodiamond formation and the growth of diamond micro-sphere on h-GaN-coated sapphire substrates. I am also capable in setting up and optimizing Raman spectroscopy experiments using confocal optical systems.
Proficient in various analytical and simulation tools (Origin Lab, COMSOL, MATLAB, Python, and more), I aim to contribute to cutting-edge research in quantum materials, with a particular interest in quantum correlations, entanglement, and nonlocality.
I am eager to collaborate with academic and industry partners to drive innovation in quantum science and technology.
